This year GOYGB was again held in Shropshire on the Long Mynd.
The 2 weeks were filled with a visit from His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios, a display of creepy crawlies and activities during the day such as swimming, the fete (with an international theme), preparing plays about Saints’ lives, walks and many other activities under the title of ‘Arts and Crafts’. During the evening when possible there was a campfire, dancing and for the seniors bivouacking on the Mynd. There was great excitement and anticipation for what the main events of the International Fete, the Saints Plays and of course the Talent Show and Awards ceremony would contain. Everyone enjoyed them.
The main speakers at camp this year were Fr Phillip and Fr Luke (who were also the resident Priests during camp), Fr Stephen, Sr Magdalene and Mother Sarah. They led numerous discussions and lessons around the topic of ‘Making Love Your Aim’
Camp this year was great fun as always the only thing that let it down was the English Weather. It rained.
