ABOUT US

The GOYGB (Greek Orthodox Youth of Great Britain) Summer Camp has been running since 1992, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Gregorios of Thyateira. For ten days, we live as a community, benefiting from plenty of fresh air, communal meals, prayer, lessons, activities, exercise, games, discussions, campfires, singing, and fellowship amongst the participants.

VOLUNTEERS

Our team includes the priest in charge, coordinators, tent leaders, a logistics team, medical team, and those with unique and specific roles. Before camp, leaders come together for training days to cover matters of Health and Safety, Child Protection, and general aspects of caring, leadership, attentiveness, discipline and teamwork.

BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY

We are looking forward to receiving all new campers and those who are returning. Some seniors from previous years have kindly decided to participate as volunteers and helpers and we pray that they are blessed with good strength to be examples for our young children.

All of the team are volunteers, giving their time out of love and care for the next generation. We all enter camp with a will to provide children with a truly happy and positive experience and an environment that feels ultimately safe and nurturing.

All adult workers on camp are DBS checked prior to camp.

If you would like to volunteer at camp as a leader please email silouani@goygbcamp.org.uk.
